Every parent complains that kids are using porn as sex ed. That’s why every parent should actively participate in educating their kids about sex–whether the kids want it or not, and whether the parents are comfortable with it or not.
And you need to do it now, regardless of your kids’ ages.

I trust most children to accurately know if they’re hungry, cold, or need a bathroom. I don’t trust children to accurately know if they require medicine, should take math class, or need to lose weight.

I trust children to know if they feel uncomfortable, unhappy, lonely, isolated, or different. I don’t trust children to know the best ways to resolve those feelings (it’s our job to teach them). And the more extreme their suggestions are, the less we should trust them.
You’re a good dad, you care about your kids and want the best for them. “The best” includes the information and values they need to develop healthy sexuality.
When parents ask me “at what age should I start talking to my kids about sex?” I gently reply, “If you haven’t started yet, you’re behind schedule—no matter what age they are.”
Talking with kids about porn is essential–and the sooner you think they’ll see it, the sooner you should talk with them about it.
